Gene Dunaway has been involved in training design and delivery for 20 years. He has a BA in Psychology with a Minor in Business from Hendrix College and a JD from the University of Arkansas.

Gene was president of Friends of the North Fork & White Rivers, Inc., a watershed conservation group in North Central Arkansas, for five years. Still serving on the Board, he remains active in  water conservation activities. In 2005, he was recognized as Arkansas Water Conservationist of the Year by the Arkansas Wildlife Federation. In 2008, he received the Environmental Leadership Award from the Citizens First Congress and the Arkansas Public Policy Panel.

Gene also serves on the boards of several other non-profits, including Alford Forest, Inc., which is focused on sustainable forestry; Ozark Regional Land Trust (ORLT), Vice President; and One Garden, an organization focused on the preservation of heritage seed collections as the foundation for locally-grown food economies.
